如何成为一名教练

先决条件

All 威尼斯官网在线 coaches (paid stipend coaches and volunteer coaches) must:

• 完成 威尼斯官网在线 New Coaches' Seminar prior to the start of their first season.
• Complete PE-22 "Care and Prevention of Athletic Injuries, Coaching Fundamentals and CPR/AED", the application can be found 在线.

In addition, all 威尼斯官网在线 paid stipend coaches must:

• Achieve and retain current certification in CPR/AED.
• 完成 NFHS教练1级 certification requirements within one year of the start of the season for which they were first hired.
• 完成 following NFHS Coaches' Education Courses

Non-员工 Volunteer Coaches 必须填写“Online 培训 for Volunteers/合同ors: Recognizing and Reporting Child Abuse and Neglect”. Once a coach has completed this training, the date the training was completed needs to be reported to the 体育运动 Specialist to record in the Athletic Certification and Compliance (Coaches Database). Non-员工 Stipend Coaches will complete the 威尼斯官网在线 Compliance 培训 using the my威尼斯官网在线 Classroom system. Below are the directions and information for how these coaches can access the training. Supports have been put in place to assist coaches throughout the process including “Forget Password” links and access to the “帮助台”. 的 compliance training contains the 威尼斯官网在线 Compliance 培训 standard modules, the required the required Diabetes Awareness 培训 for Coaches and Athletic Trainers PowerPoint, Level 1 Diabetes 培训, and the optional Level 2 Diabetes 培训: How to Administer Glucagon course. A Non-员工 Stipend Coach meets compliance once they have completed all of the required training modules. 的 process for Non-员工 Stipend Coaches is as follows: 

• Non-employee coaches will log into the my威尼斯官网在线 classroom system using their 威尼斯官网在线 email and password.
• Non-employee coaches will follow 这些方向 或者用这个 more comprehensive support guide to create their account and enroll in the course.
• 的 威尼斯官网在线 体育运动 Unit will monitor progress of course and upon completion, updated the information within their database.  Coaches may also always take a screenshot or document the completion of their modules and training and provide that information to their 体育专家 (AD) who will record the date of completion in the database.

形式 for Prospective Coaches

• 的 新教练清单 provides a comprehensive list of items that need to be completed before hire and prior to the start of the season.
• Volunteer Coach Application & 合同 -  Document signed by the volunteer coach, 主教练, 体育专家, 和校长, certifying that all criteria have been met. This is a great checklist of conditions and requirements necessary to become a volunteer coach. 
•  PE-22应用程序 - 的 "Care and Prevention of Athletic Injuries" course is required for all 威尼斯官网在线 coaches (both stipend and volunteer), as noted in the MPSSAA coaching eligibility guidelines (pg. 22). 的 course includes CPR/AED certification, but volunteer coaches and coaches with current CPR certification are not required to take the CPR/AED training.
